These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of NeuroUniverse services, including subscriptions, specialist bookings, consultations, and related support services. By subscribing, booking a session, or using NeuroUniverse, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who We Are
NeuroUniverse (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides access to educational, behavioural, and wellbeing-related specialists together with coordination, booking, administrative, and support services. NeuroUniverse does not provide medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, or emergency services.
2. Nature of Services
NeuroUniverse may provide:
- Specialist matching and coordination
- Booking and scheduling services
- Payment processing
- Structured consultation framework
- Meeting summaries / session notes
- Support resources and guidance
All specialists engaged through NeuroUniverse are independent professionals responsible for their own advice, opinions, and professional conduct. NeuroUniverse acts solely as a facilitator and service provider around consultations.
3. No Medical or Clinical Advice
NeuroUniverse services do not replace medical assessment, diagnosis, therapy, treatment, or emergency services. Any information or summaries provided are for general educational or informational purposes only.
Clients must seek advice from appropriately qualified healthcare professionals for medical or clinical concerns.
4. Safeguarding & Duty of Care
NeuroUniverse takes safeguarding seriously.
By using our services, you acknowledge and agree:
- If NeuroUniverse or a specialist becomes aware of information suggesting a risk of harm to a child or vulnerable person, appropriate action may be taken.
- This may include contacting relevant safeguarding authorities or support services where legally or ethically required.
- Confidentiality may be overridden where safeguarding concerns arise.
NeuroUniverse reserves the right to escalate safeguarding concerns without prior notice where necessary.
5. Fees & Payments
Fees charged may include:
- Specialist consultation fees
- NeuroUniverse coordination, administration, or service fees
All payments must be made through NeuroUniverse unless otherwise agreed. Bookings are confirmed only upon receipt of payment. NeuroUniverse reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.
6. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Specialist Sessions
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled consultation are non-refundable.
- Cancellations outside of 48 hours may be rescheduled subject to availability.
- Failure to attend a consultation will be treated as a late cancellation.
Exceptions may be made at NeuroUniverse’s discretion.
7. Subscriptions
Where clients subscribe to NeuroUniverse services:
- Subscriptions operate on a rolling basis unless stated otherwise.
- A minimum three-month notice period applies for cancellation.
- Cancellation requests must be provided in writing.
- Fees during the notice period remain payable.
Subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law.
8. Meeting Summaries & Notes
Where provided, NeuroUniverse may issue consultation summaries or session notes. These summaries are not verbatim records and are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute clinical, diagnostic, legal, or professional reports.
Clients remain responsible for decisions made based on consultations.
9. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Treat specialists and staff respectfully
- Not record consultations without explicit consent
- Use NeuroUniverse services lawfully
NeuroUniverse may suspend or terminate services for misuse or inappropriate behaviour.
10. Data Protection & GDPR
NeuroUniverse processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.
We may collect and process personal data including contact details, booking information, payment records, and relevant background information necessary for service delivery. Data is used solely for legitimate business purposes including coordination of specialists, administration of services, record keeping, and compliance with legal obligations.
NeuroUniverse does not sell client data. Data may be shared with relevant specialists, service providers, or authorities where required by law or necessary for service provision.
Clients may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data subject to legal retention obligations. Further details are available in our Privacy Policy.
11. Confidentiality
NeuroUniverse treats client information sensitively. Confidentiality may be limited where disclosure is required by law, necessary for safeguarding, or essential for service provision.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law:
- NeuroUniverse is not responsible for specialist advice or outcomes
- NeuroUniverse does not guarantee specific results
- Liability is limited to fees paid for the relevant service
Nothing excludes liability where unlawful to do so.
13. Service Availability
NeuroUniverse aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Services may be modified or withdrawn where necessary.
14. Termination
NeuroUniverse may suspend or terminate services for breach of these Terms, non-payment, misuse of services, or safeguarding concerns.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
